Pros and cons of Another World - 20th app for iPhone and iPad

Another World - 20th app good for

the original was my favourite in the 90s on super nintendo. the ios version is awesome and brings back a lot of good memories; spending hours in front of the tv and enjoying potato chips and coke. but there is one thing i am missing a lot: the music when you die and at dramatic scenes...
I remember getting this game for my birthday. Playing it for 30min and hating it. I had no idea what was going on or what my objective was. The dislikes out powered the likes but something kept luring me back. I dont know if it was the exploration, puzzle solving or determination to move forward but the further I got the more I loved the game. By the end of the game it left me wanting more and very satisfied with my achievement. In my opinion everyone who likes puzzles, action, fantasy, and a challenge should play through this game at least once their your life. You deserve it.
I was thinking about this game the other day, and how much I enjoyed playing it on the SNES system in 91. This game is almost how I remember it - minus some incidental music that appears to be missing, which will hopefully be restored in a subsequent update. The enhanced graphics are stunning on the iPhones retina display, and its cool to be able to switch back and forth between the original resolution and the new look. The game is also still challenging to play, and remains frustratingly difficult in places. All in all, a sweet purchase for $4.99.
If u havent played another world yet, u miss out big time on one of the best thing that gaming as to offer. Great adventure, great gameplay, awesome atmosphere. It as it all. Must buy
I still remember the day when I picked up Another World for my Amiga, and was amazed after watching its incredible intro. What a technical achievement this game was for its time. Remember, we are talking about 1991 and a team of one. Eric Chahi. Yesterday I purchased the iOS port for my iPad and just finished the game. This is so well done that it took me back to my childhood. No crashes, no issues whatsoever. I enjoyed the HD graphics. Yes, the game is short and at times frustrating but in my opinion it is a classic and totally worth the purchase.
We spent hours playing this when it originally came out, and last month I installed it onto an old PowerPC laptop just to see it again. Its one of those games that, for me at least, has stuck in my mind ever since it came out. I cannot wait to relive it this weekend! PS: You need to really know the game well to understand the title of my post.

Some bad moments

If you like dying, playing the same chapter over and over again or just imprecise touch controls this is your game.
The controls are terrible and so is the checkpoint system. I was playing the sane 5 minutes of game for an hour because he cant freaking jump!
for a new player of this game, its really annoying dying and redoing the same levels again and again. ugh. maybe 20 years ago this was the norm, but now its just boring.
I would have loved this game if the controls werent unusable .
I remember how popular this game was when it originally came out back in 1991. The updated graphics are lovely, but unfortunately, the game itself doesnt translate well to the touchscreen medium. The controls are clunky and unresponsive, which makes many parts of the game incredibly frustrating, as fine precision and quick responses are required to get past the challenges. Often, the game gives you no indication on what course of action you should take in order to proceed. I dont expect games to hold my hand, but theres no fun in trial and error. For example, at one point you have to roll through some air ducts, and theres no way to tell which is the right way and which way leads to a long drop and death. Youve just got to keep trying over and over, watching the same death animation again and again. Thats not fun -- its frustrating.
I cannot see whole graphic. I can not play. This is disaster!
